Audemus Umami Gin / 500mL

A lightly savoury gin with an entirely unique flavour profile.

Audemus Umami Gin is a product in its own universe.

Named after the fifth taste; savouriness, or how Audemus describe it – saltiness without the salt.

The base flavour for this spirit comes from South Italian capers which are brought in directly from the cooperative. They’re distilled at 45 degrees to maintain the fresh iodic aroma.

Audemus then combine this distillate with an infusion of Parmigiano-Reggiano, Italian parmesan cheese, which is glutamate-rich (the molecule which is responsible for our tongues ability to taste umami).

Combined with juniper, two other ingredients, and a base of neutral grain spirit, the blend is left to rest in an old cognac barrel for several months.

The result is a fresh, lightly savoury gin with an entirely unique flavour profile.

Delivery

We deliver anywhere in East Sydney bordering the harbour, Darlinghurst to Watsons Bay and South to Randwick. By law we can only deliver up to 10pm - we are currently open to 8pm most nights and 9pm Thurs, Fri & Sat until things start getting crazy busy then we'll push this to 10pm with last orders to be received by 9.30pm.

Cancellations

At anytime we hold the rights to cancel any order, upon which the intended recipient will be notified via the appropriate contact details they have provided. Of course we will refund the payment in this instance. Why would we cancel? Generally if we suspect that the recipient is intoxicated or underage - but there could be other reasons. We want to stay legal so that we stay in business!

You too can cancel your order if you need to up to the time it is on the road - we of course hope you don't, but if circumstances arrive that require you to cancel the order, just give us a call!

Age Rquirements

To order from us, you must be at least 18 years of age. It is illegal in Australia to sell alcohol to persons under the age of 18 or to supply alcohol to anyone that we know will then pass it on to an underage person - it's all in the liquor laws and can affect our license - so we're strict about this!

Unattended Delivery

As per the liquor laws, we are unable to deliver and leave the items unattended - so 'just leave them at the front door' won't work. You will need to be there to receive the order. Sorry, it's a legal thing again.

Our Guarantee

At Booze Hound we believe in looking after our clients - we want you to come back and tell the (East Bubble) world about us!

As such, if a a product falls short of value or expectations please feel free to contact one of our staff on 02 8004 9444.

We're not here to run off with your hard earned money - if you are less than satisfied we'll either race straight over with a replacement or if a refund is in order, we'll look after you. When we say we want you to tell others about us - we want that to be in a good way!

You can't be silly about it - finish half a bottle, complain then get a refund without us seeing the 'faulty' wine - but we'll be fair. Over 90% of our clients are super regulars and have been for years - we're here hopefully with you for the long haul.

And most of the time, if the product is faulty, we get a replacement from our supplier anyway - so best you tell us so that we can all be happy.

WHAT IS MY CVN NUMBER?

The Card Verification Number (CVN) is an extra code printed on your debit or credit card. CVN for Visa, MasterCard, BankCard and Diners is the final three digits of the number printed on the signature strip on the back of your card.

CVN for American Express appears as a separate 4-digit code printed on the front of your card.

As the CVN is not embossed (like the card number) the CVN is not printed on any receipts, hence it is not likely to be known by anyone other than the card owner.

CVN is an anti-fraud measure being introduced by credit card companies worldwide. You are required to enter the CVN each time a payment is made and you are not present to sign a receipt, as for on-line transactions. We ask you to fill out the CVN here to verify that you actually hold the card you are using for this transaction, and to avoid anyone other than you from shopping with your card number. All information you submit is transferred over secure SSL connections.
